Craft ideas for Kids - Cling Film ArtStart by squirting dollops of paint in various directions, colours and amounts onto card.

This is a great opportunity for your crafty kid to work those fine motor skills by….

  • Applying different amounts of pressure to the bottles to control the flow of paint.
  • Co-ordinating the amount of paint with movement across the card.

Next, loosely wrap the card in cling film, carefully resting it over the paint.

Craft ideas for Kids - Cling Film ArtNow for the really fun bit!

Using two hands, begin spreading the paint.

Olivia’s initial reaction was priceless: she couldn’t quite understand why her hands weren’t covered in paint!

Once over the initial surprise, she couldn’t stop laughing as she spread the paint, merging the colours, feeling and smoothing out the funny lumps and bumps.

Olivia quickly asked to do “more, more, more”… Thankfully we have a good supply of paint and card!

Craft ideas for Kids - Cling Film ArtOnce your crafty kid has finished spreading the paint, carefully remove the cling film and then leave to dry.

These super funky paintings could be left as they are or used for other crafts, such as decorating an old glass jar or flower pot!

We used ours to create this simple yet effective flower picture…

What will your crafty kid do with theirs?
